James East has worked in communications with World Vision since 2002 and is based in Bangkok, Thailand. Since joining World Vision, James, a Briton, has covered the organisation's relief response to man-made and natural disasters, incuding the Asian tsunami, war in Iraq and Afghanistan, and earthquakes in Pakistan and Jogyakarta, Indonesia. Prior to joining World Vision, James worked as a newspaper sub-editor, a SE Asia foreign correspondent and a stringer for numerous national newspapers and magazines.

Relief and Crisis Communications Manager
Pam joined World Vision in 2005 and was immediately plunged into handling communications for the Asian Tsunami Response in Thailand. Since then she has worked for World Vision in Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu, before moving to Sri Lanka to cover tsunami related work during its final phase and completion. Pam specializes in rapid, accurate reporting when disaster strikes, providing news, situation reports, media leads and spokespeople.
