Pershing GTX80

When the name Pershing comes to mind, the shipyard’s tagline usually springs to mind: “Pershing Thrill.” Encapsulating the shipyard’s line-up of models that embody performance, speed, style, and comfort, the GTX range successfully maintains the shipyard’s performance credentials whilst introducing enhanced liveability and accessible sporty handling characteristics. The second largest model in the series, the GTX80, manages to hit the sweet spot, combining Italian design with practical power. Measuring 23.99 meters in length, this sports utility yacht is powered by triple Volvo Penta IPS propulsion systems, providing a more approachable alternative to Pershing’s traditional surface-drive models.

Accommodating eight overnight guests across four ensuite staterooms, the GTX80 boasts

substantial outdoor living spaces for a yacht of her size. For potential buyers considering buying a Pershing yacht, the GTX80 warrants serious consideration for these three compelling reasons.

1. Award-winning design & construction

Not for nothing was the Pershing GTX80 named the winner of the ‘Best Exterior Design’ in the 24-30 metre category at the 2024 World Yachts Trophies. A significant industry recognition, this further validates the model’s design execution and build quality. Vallicelli Design was tasked with creating her exterior design, which is characterised by a near-vertical bow, continuous sheerlines, and metallic grey livery. The design eliminates upright supports, resulting in clean lines throughout her styling. The carbon-fiber T-top was selected due to the lightweight material to enhance the performance of the GTX80 further while keeping its aesthetic appeal, while her spacious flybridge measures 23 square metres, reflecting a 60 percent increase over the category average. The large aft beach club connects to a 14-square-meter cockpit that flows into the main salon. Retractable glass doors and terraces connect interior and exterior spaces effectively, while her interior spaces are well illuminated with natural light and maintain privacy thanks to the extensive glazing.

2. Accessible high performance & maneuverability

The GTX80 delivers a rather credible performance without the complexity of traditional Pershing models. Triple Volvo Penta D13 IPS1350 engines produce 3,000 horsepower, giving her a top speed of 34 knots. With a cruising speed of 28 knots, her fuel consumption is approximately 116 gallons per hour, and the 1,347-gallon fuel capacity provides a 300 nautical mile range at cruise speed. The IPS joystick control system simplifies manoeuvring compared to surface drives, making the GTX80 suitable for owners who enjoy steering their yacht. The helm station features a centreline driving position with triple multifunction displays and intuitive controls, and large glazed panels provide comprehensive visibility with minimal blind spots. Additional sunroof panels and side doors offer ventilation options. Together, these systems make the GTX80 accessible to experienced yacht owners without requiring a large professional crew for standard operations.

3. Comfortable accommodation & living spaces

Offering the most voluminous guest accommodation options possible, the GTX80 can welcome up to eight overnight guests in four ensuite staterooms. The full-beam master stateroom is midship, with an offset berth configuration, a sofa, a vanity station, and panoramic windows. Forward, a VIP stateroom features a queen-sized bed and full-height storage. Port and starboard double guest staterooms complete the layout, each with a main deck salon that offers an open plan layout, suitable for various social occasions.

A corner sofa creates a lounge area, whilst a dining table seats eight. The fully equipped galley includes a microwave, refrigerator, sink, and preparation surfaces. A U-shaped bar with seating facilitates entertaining underway. The flybridge provides a three-seat helm station, booth dining, and aft sunpad, and her additional outdoor spaces include an aft cockpit for dining, a foredeck terrace accessible via doors flanking the helm, and a beach club complete with a hydraulic swim platform. The platform accommodates a Williams 345 tender and a personal watercraft.

The Pershing GTX80 combines award-recognised design, accessible performance technology, and practical accommodation in a 24-metre package. Serving multiple purposes, she is the ideal choice for coastal cruising, entertaining, and owner operations. For those interested in learning more about the GTX80, contact FGI Yacht Group today.
